【Signature Camp】"Robotics Challenge Camp - Space Exploration" Promoting STREAM Education and Exploring Space Mysteries
This summer, we once again collaborated with Dr. Tim Woo, Associate Professor of Engineering Education from Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and his teaching team to organize a three-day "Robotics Challenge Camp–Space Exploration". About 50 grassroots primary students joined the day camp, where they learned the principles and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), electrical engineering, wind power and solar energy. Through assembling colorful mechanical components and engaging in fun mathematical calculations, they also created various mechanical gadgets including Wind Turbines and Space Arms, so as to explore STREAM knowledge and the applications of creative engineering in daily life.
On the final day of the camp, the students worked in groups to design and build their robotic cars, and compete in an Interstellar Robotics Football Match. During the game, everyone was highly engaged and constantly cheering for their teams. They not only acquired knowledge but also experienced the importance of teamwork and forged valuable friendships.
Special thanks go to our sponsors, Swashes HK for sponsoring disinfectant wet tissues, and The Green Olive for sponsoring OB Finest Apricot and Macadamia Speciality Crackers. Their generous supports have been heartwarming for our day camp and the grassroots students.
