【CSR Event】"Green Day in Ma Wan" Water Sustainability Workshop Encouraging Water Conservation and Green Living among Students

For the third consecutive year, we partnered with Analogue Holdings Ltd. to co-organize "Green Day in Ma Wan" CSR event. Ten corporate volunteers mentored 40 students from Yan Chai Hospital Chan Iu Seng Primary School in learning about water resources and sustainable development.
The volunteers first introduced one of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ‘Clean Water and Sanitation,’ to the students and shared insights about the global distribution of water resources and the causes of drought, as well as the concept of water footprint and the methods of drinking water treatment in Hong Kong. Through an interactive quiz session, students also learned about the importance of adopting low-carbon dietary habits. Following this, all participants engaged in an outdoor survival challenge, where they learned to make friction fire and craft simple water purifiers to obtain clean drinking water through distillation with limited resources. Guided by the volunteers, the students increased their environmental awareness, learned to use water wisely and practice green lifestyle.
