【Signature Event】"Celebration of Life" Birthday Parties: Pawsitive Vibes Day A Warm-warming encounter with Therapy Dogs Bringing Hope and Strength to Children with Cancer

Since 2014, we have been collaborating with Noah's Ark Hong Kong to organize meaningful birthday parties every year for child patients, benefiting over 1,500 beneficiaries to date. This year, we specially invited nearly 100 children with cancer and chronic illnesses, along with their families, from Children's Cancer Foundation and Hong Kong Red Cross Hospital Schools to participate. For the first time, therapy dogs were introduced to provide deep emotional support, inspiring the children with courage and strength to face the challenges of their illness!
Despite adverse weather on the event day, many distinguished guests came to show their support, including Mr. Tsui Chi-to, Vice-President of the Federation of Hong Kong-Shanghai Associations (the Federation) and Member of Shanghai CPPCC; Mr. Li Xiaofeng, Member of Shanghai CPPCC; Mr. Yeung Chee-kong, Project Director of the Federation; Mr. Wang Bin, Economic Adviser of the Federation; Mrs. Linda Ma, Founder and Chairperson of Citywide Renewal; Mr. Matthew Pine, Deputy General Manager of the Noah's Ark Hong Kong; Ms. Janet Ng, Advancement Director of Rainbow Foundation; Ms. Anthea Yung, Founder and CEO of Rise Wise Foundation; Ms. Magdalena Cheung, CEO of Children’s Cancer Foundation, and the representative of Hong Kong Red Cross Hospital Schools.
The event featured two animal-themed workshops: In the "Therapy Dog Encounter" session, the children interacted with gentle professional therapy dogs, experiencing simple obedience training, obstacle courses, and dog grooming activities, easing their stress and emotions and nurturing empathy and a sense of responsibility. In the "Wildlife Guardian Experience" session, they had close encounters with rare small animals such as skinks, geckos, and hedgehogs, raising awareness of ecological conservation and encouraging them to cherish and protect life.
The party is not only a celebration but also an important platform for various social sectors to collaborate in promoting health, well-being, and inclusiveness. We sincerely thank Rise Wise Foundation for sending their certified therapy dog team; ALVA HOTEL BY ROYAL, Imperial Patisserie, and 4M Industrial Development Ltd. for donating wonderful gifts; and the "Sustainability Youth Ambassadors" from Hong Kong Baptist University for designing creative games, all working together to inject hope and strength into families of children with cancer.
