【CSR Event】Café de Sanfield　 Serving Seniors with Care and Warmth

We designed a CSR event "Café de Sanfield" for Sanfield (Management) Ltd. to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. It enabled Sanfield volunteers to run a one-day traditional Hong Kong–style cafe, sharing heartwarming moments with seniors from St. James' Settlement, immersing in authentic local café culture, and savoring life stories together.

We transformed Harvest Restaurant at Hong Kong Ma Wan Park Noah's Ark into a classic nostalgic Cha Chaan Teng for the event. Over 40 Sanfield volunteers became "café staff" and "dining companions", serving signature Hong Kong dishes to more than 100 seniors and enjoying lunch alongside them. By blending Hong Kong nostalgia with life education, the event featured a “Traditional Hong Kong Snacks” sharing session and a "Fragrant Sachet DIY" workshop, bringing laughter and rekindling warm memories of the good old days among the seniors.

According to research from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, about 45% of elderly residents in Hong Kong are currently experiencing social isolation — a situation now more severe than during the pandemic — which negatively impacts their well-being. Through this event, corporates were inspired to address social needs through creative community engagement: helping the elderly in rebuilding community connections, and promoting corporate social responsibility, as we work together to build a caring and inclusive society.
