2026/05/15

To celebrate the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games and promote social inclusion, Hong Kong Ma Wan Park Noah’s Ark and the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee jointly organized "Inclusive Para Sports Day 2026". Now in its fifth year, we sponsored 170 students and their parents from four special schools to participate, namely Hong Kong Red Cross Margaret Trench School, Hong Kong Christian Service Pui Oi School, Hong Chi Morninghill School (Tuen Mun), and The Salvation Army Shek Wu School.

The opening ceremony commenced with a torch relay led by Mr. Dominic Kwok, Senior Project Director of the Construction Department, Sun Hung Kai Properties, and Dr. Luk Tze Chung, Vice President of the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games. This was followed by inspiring sharing sessions from badminton athlete Mr. Wong Chun Yim, swimming athlete Ms. Ng Cheuk Yan, and boccia athlete Mr. Tang Zhijiang.

The event also featured a variety of para sports trial experiences, including Para Fencing, Para Table Tennis, Sitting Volleyball, Para Rowing, and VR Boccia, allowing students to discover the joy of parasports, explore their potential, and cheer for Hong Kong, China athletes as they strive for further success in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
