About 200 Care Team representatives and members attended the event and joined in the celebration.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Adam Kwok, SBS, Executive Director of SHKP; Ms. Priscilla To, JP, Director of Home Affairs; Mr. Billy Au, JP, District Officer (Tsuen Wan), Home Affairs Department; Mr. Oscar Wong, JP, District Officer (Sham Shui Po), Home Affairs Department; Ms. Tiffany Chung, JP, District Officer (Tai Po), Home Affairs Department; Mr. Mark Cheng, Acting District Officer (Sha Tin), Home Affairs Department; Mr. Lee Luen-fai, BBS, JP, Director of Public Affairs, SHKP; and Mr. Desmond Tsoi, General Manager, Hong Kong Ma Wan Park, as officiating guests.
In his speech, Mr. Adam Kwok stated that to celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland, SHKP had distributed 10,000 gifted tickets of Hong Kong Ma Wan Park - Noah’s Ark through Care Teams and 50 charitable organizations, benefiting grassroots families, the elderly, young people, persons with disabilities and Care Team members. The public could visit the aerospace exhibition area and experience the spacecraft simulator, celebrating Hong Kong's first astronaut, Ms. Lee Ka-ying, on her successful spaceflight and her contributions to the nation’s aerospace development. He highlighted this honor fully demonstrates that, under "One Country, Two Systems," Hong Kong's youth possess ambitious dreams, a strong sense of responsibility, and the vision to align with the country’s overall national development.
The event also paid tribute to Care Teams across Hong Kong and specially arranged a "Community Mental Health First Aid Workshop" for Care Team members from four districts in attendance, in the hope of empowering these unsung heroes who quietly protect the community and enabling them to continue providing emotional support to those in need, thereby extending the spirit of care throughout the community.
