Background We have successfully applied for Social Welfare Department’s "Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged" (The 17th Round Application). An annual project "See Youth in Ma Wan" has started since September 2024, and will last to August 2025.
Objectives Through inspiring activities led by professional trainers, we aim to help underprivileged children, youth, and low-income families:
Cultivate positive thinking and live life with optimism and enthusiasm
Enhance physical and mental health, and relieve emotional stress
Recognize personal potential and express creativity with confidence
Strengthen interpersonal communication and learn teamwork
Targets
Low-income families (beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme)
Underprivileged children and youth (receiving full or half school textbook assistance / from single-parent or broken families / with special educational needs)
Activity Introduction The project consists of three unique workshops, to be held in Ma Wan, including:
"Get Set Goal Workshop" - enhance participants’ problem-solving abilities, creative thinking and team spirit through outdoor orienteering and emerging sports.
"Gift of Words Workshop" - help participants improve their interpersonal relationships and learn to appreciate themselves and others through story-telling and role-playing
"Future Maker Workshop" - arouse participants' interest in STEM and environmental protection, and inspires their creativity.
